Anonymous Spiral (2012)

An anonymous spiral galaxy on the edge of Serpens. There are a lot of nameless galaxies in Hubble’s data but most of them are much smaller and in the background. I haven’t found another one as big as this. Perhaps one day it will have a name.

Hubble data is public domain, but I put a lot of work into combining it into beautiful color images. The minimal credit line should read: NASA / ESA / J. Schmidt
