NGC 3597 Core (2014)

This is the pretty central area of NGC 3597. Earlier, I posted a view of the whole galaxy. Today’s image utilizes just the data from the PC chip, so it’s much easier to work with and I didn’t have to fiddle with anything at all, really. I can put a few notes of interest around this one, too.

Red: hst_06861_01_wfpc2_f702w_pc_sci
Green: Pseudo
Blue: hst_06861_01_wfpc2_f450w_pc_sci

North is NOT up. It is 36° counter-clockwise from up.
