Here’s a nice view of a galaxy and its surroundings with the obvious exception of the tragic box of missing data. Two WFPC2 datasets were combined to create an almost complete view. It’s better than the standard staircase, at least! I quite enjoy the smooth spiral at the bottom, too.

Green: Pseudo
Blue: hst_05233_06_wfpc2_f555w_wf_sci + hst_05233_09_wfpc2_f555w_wf_sci
North is NOT up. It is 77.8° counter-clockwise from up.
