Admittedly this is a pretty silly picture, but I think it is interesting. There are a lot of anomalies (PDF download, 22MB) in Hubble’s data that must be dealt with when processing images, but this is one of those disastrous errors you can’t do much with… unless you try to throw a few of the data sets together to make some modern art! Most people would probably just consider this an eye sore, however.
